Building CMM Measurement Plans with PMI CAD Models
Thursday, October 8 2020
12:45–1 PM (CDT)

Quality inspection can be the largest beneficiary to Model Based Definition. Learn how ZEISS CALYPSO can utilize PMI and save hours of time in creating CMM measurement plans. During this session we will share the common challenges and benefits for a successful implementation of this emerging technology.
NEV: Fuel Cell Bipolar Plate Inspection with Multisensor CMM
Thursday, November 5 2020
12:45–1 PM (CDT)
The fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV) is the next generation of electric vehicles and is able to convert hydrogen into energy, giving off zero carbon emissions. When it comes to inspecting new components from the fuel cell stack, such as the bipolar plate or UAEs, it has never been easier than with the ZEISS O-INSPECT multisensor CMM. See it in action as it measures the bipolar plate from a fuel cell stack.

From Powder to Performance — Metrology and Characterization Across the Additive Manufacturing Process Chain
Friday, October 2 2020
12–1:10 PM (CDT)
The AM process is quite complex and quality control is critical for each processing parameter. The ZEISS 3D ManuFACT holistic inspection approach utilizes a multi-scale, multi-modal workflow designed to handle the complexity of the entire AM process chain, starting from raw materials to the finished parts.
Precision at all Altitudes with Multisensor Inspection Technology
Tuesday, December 15 2020
1–2 PM (CDT)
This conference session will review a case study comparing tactile and optical inspection of airfoils and investigate other aerospace applications including bladed rotors and multi-vane stators. The various sensor and inspection technologies being evaluated will include: tactile, chromatic white light, surface roughness, rotary table integration and even the use of computed tomography to accurately measure internal and external dimensions.

Miles for Manufacturing 5K
October 12–16 2020
ZEISS is proud to sponsor this year's Miles for Manufacturing 5K to support schools and programs that prepare students for careers in manufacturing technology. Like everything else in our world today, the M4M has to adapt to the conditions. So get started with your planning for a uniquely fun and engaging version: M4M In Your Community! We can't all gather to run a 5K in Chicago, so let's get some exercise and have fun wherever we are!
